Context: The objective of the present review was to collect published SPIRITUAL NEEDS questionnaires and to present a clear image of the research condition of this domain. Evidence Acquisition: First, an electronic search was conducted with no limits on time span (until June 2015) or language in the following databases: PubMed, Scopus, Ovid, ProQuest and Google Scholar. All derivations of the keywords religion and SPIRITUAL alongside need and its synonyms were included in the search. Researches that introduced new tools was then selected and included in the study. Due to the limited quantity of questionnaires in this domain and with no consideration given to the existence or lack of exact standardization information, all of the questionnaires were included in the final report. Results: Eight questionnaires were found: patients SPIRITUAL NEEDS assessment scale (PSNAS), SPIRITUAL NEEDS inventory (SNI), SPIRITUAL interests related to illness tool (SpIRIT), SPIRITUAL NEEDS questionnaire (SpNQ), SPIRITUAL NEEDS assessment for patients (SNAP), SPIRITUAL NEEDS scale (SNS), SPIRITUAL care NEEDS inventory (SCNI), and SPIRITUAL NEEDS questionnaire for palliative care. Conclusions: These questionnaires have been designed from a limited medical perspective and often involve cultural concepts which complicate their cross-cultural applicability.

Background and Aim: To succeed in study and deliver service to community, training SPIRITUAL and related skill is urgent need in public health students. The aim of study was to explore SPIRITUAL NEEDS and related skills in public health students of Kurdistan University of medical sciences.Materials and Methods: This research was done through content analysis approach in Kurdistan university of medical science in 2015 year. Public health 15 students’ NEEDS and persective investigated via purposeful sampling. Inclusion criteria were including willingness to participate in the study, public health students, and ability to speak fluently. Data was gathered using individual and group in-deep sim-structural interviews and field note. Interviews recorded, typed, and analyzed using content analysis method. credibility, dependability, confirm ability and transferability were employed to rigor and trustworthy of data.Results: From Analysis of data were extracted 4 main categories: “individual interaction with superior existence”, “individual’s interaction with surrounding”, “strengthen individual characteristics”, and “improvement of study”.Conclusion: The results of the study showed that acquiring of SPIRITUAL and life skills is an urgent need for students. Earning these skills not only is not an individual factor but also is multi-factorial and this is regarding to educational organizations, ministries, universities and families.

Introduction: Cardiovascular diseases are among the major threats to human health which are regarded as the main cause of death and disability worldwide. Encounters with these diseases lead to physical, psychological, and SPIRITUAL problems. SPIRITUAL health correlates with different aspects of human life and is necessary to adapt to the diseases. This study aimed to investigate the correlation between SPIRITUAL NEEDS and contextual factors with SPIRITUAL wellbeing in patients with cardiovascular diseases. Materials & Methods: This cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted based on a correlational design. The study population included all patients referred to teaching hospitals affiliated to Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences, Sari, Iran in 2018. In total, 137 patients (79 female and 58 male patients) with cardiovascular diseases were selected through convenience sampling. The data were collected using the SPIRITUAL Wellbeing Scale (by Peterman), SPIRITUAL NEEDS Assessment Scale (by Bussing), and Contextual Dimension Scale (by Hillemeier). Moreover, the data were analyzed using SPSS software (Version. 19) through descriptive and inferential statistics. Ethics code: IR. MAZUMS. REC. 1396D105 Findings: The data were analyzed using stepwise regression analysis. According to the results, the need for inner peace, existential NEEDS, active forgiveness NEEDS, and religious NEEDS correlated significantly with SPIRITUAL wellbeing. Out of the SPIRITUAL NEEDS, existential NEEDS, the need for inner peace, religious NEEDS, and active forgiveness NEEDS (P<0. 001) played the most important roles (R2=0. 49) in predicting the SPIRITUAL wellbeing. Moreover, politics, medicine, and health correlated significantly with SPIRITUAL wellbeing. On the other hand, a negative relationship was observed between SPIRITUAL wellbeing and economic, educational, environmental, residential, governmental, psycho-social, and behavioral dimensions, as well as transportation. Out of these factors, behavioral, environmental, medical, political, and residential dimensions along with health and transportation had the most important roles (R2=0. 51) in predicting SPIRITUAL wellbeing. Discussion & Conclusions: It can be concluded that religious NEEDS and contextual factors, as two psychological constructs, can play significant roles in creating SPIRITUAL wellbeing.

Background and Aim: Diabetes, as the most common chronic metabolic disease, causes a crisis in the physical, psychological and SPIRITUAL aspects, which increases the use of SPIRITUAL resource as a coping mechanism. SPIRITUAL health is one of the variables that enhance the dimension of SPIRITUALity the physical, psychological and SPIRITUAL aspects. SPIRITUAL health coordinates different aspects of human life and it is necessary to adapt to the disease. This study aimed to investigating the relationship between SPIRITUALity NEEDS and contextual Factors with SPIRITUALity well being in cancer patients. Materials and Methods: This descriptive study is Descriptive-correlation. The participants were 113 patients with cancer diseases (female 65, male 48) from Sari city selected through convenience sampling. The data were collected using the SPIRITUALity Well-Being scale, SPIRITUALity NEEDS scale, Contextual Dimension scale. For data analysis, Stepwise regression analysis and SPSS 21 were used. Findings: There was a significant and positive correlation between scores on the components of SPIRITUAL NEEDS and SPIRITUALity well-being, so that subscales of the SPIRITUAL NEEDS such as "Religious NEEDS" (P<0. 001), "Existentialistic NEEDS” (P<0. 001), "need for Inner peace” (P<0. 001) and "Actively Giving NEEDS” (P<0. 001) had positive correlation with SPIRITUALity well being. And among all components of SPIRITUAL NEEDS, Religious NEEDS, Existentialistic NEEDS, Actively Giving NEEDS had a more predictive power in family flexibility. And also there were a significant correlation between dimension of “ behavioral "(P<0. 001), "Political"(P<0. 001), “ Governmental "(P<0. 001), "public health" (P<0. 001), “ Medical "(P<0. 001), "Employment" (P<0. 001) with SPIRITUALity well-being and among all these factors had the highest degree of variance in SPIRITUALity well-being. Ethical Considerations: All participants signed informed consent form before data collection. Conclusion: It is concluded that SPIRITUAL NEEDS and contextual dimension, as two psychological constructs, can play a significant role in creating SPIRITUALity well-being. Therefore, developing plans and approaches to address the patients' SPIRITUAL-religious NEEDS and environmental factors influencing the disease to promote SPIRITUAL well-being of diabetic patients can be beneficial.

Aim and Background: Exposure to cancer causes physical, psychological, and SPIRITUAL crisis. SPIRITUAL health coordinates different aspects of human life to one another, and it is the vital aspect of human life for the adaptation to the disease. This study aimed at investigating the relationship between SPIRITUAL NEEDS and contextual factors regarding SPIRITUAL well-being in cancer patients. Methods and Materials: This is a descriptive correlational study. The participants were 141 patients with cancer diseases (female 76, male 65) from Sari city selected through convenience sampling. The data were collected using the SPIRITUAL well-being scale, SPIRITUAL NEEDS scale, and contextual dimension scale. Results: For data analysis, stepwise regression analysis was used. Results of statistical analyses showed that there was a significant and positive correlation between scores on the components of SPIRITUAL NEEDS and SPIRITUAL well-being. Therefore, the subscales of the SPIRITUAL NEEDS, such as "religious NEEDS" (P<0. 001), "existentialistic NEEDS” (P<0. 001), "NEEDS for inner peace” (P<0. 001), and "actively giving NEEDS” (P<0. 001) had positive correlation with SPIRITUAL well-being. Furthermore, among all components of SPIRITUAL NEEDS, religious NEEDS, existentialistic NEEDS, and actively giving NEEDS had a stronger predictive power in family flexibility. There were also significant correlations between “ behavioral "(P<0. 001), "political"(P<0. 001), “ governmental "(P<0. 001), "public health"(P<0. 001), “ medical "(P<0. 001), and "employment"(P<0. 001) dimensions of and SPIRITUAL well-being, and all these factors had the highest degree of variance in SPIRITUAL well-being. Conclusion: It is concluded that religious NEEDS and contextual dimension, as two psychological constructs, can play a significant role in creating SPIRITUAL well-being.
